What we do
Data only becomes valuable when it is reliable, deliberately designed and usable for actual decisions. Our engagements therefore cover the full spectrum that matures a data organisation: data architecture and platform choices (with deep experience in the Microsoft ecosystem — Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI), data integration and pipelines, governance and lineage, and the AI use cases that sit on top of that foundation.
Beyond the technology, we focus on the organisational side: how a data practice shapes itself, how responsibilities are split between engineering, analytics and business functions, and how a team grows without losing the quality of its work. Concretely that means: thinking along on architecture and technology, setting up or recalibrating data platforms and governance, organisational design (roles, rhythms, accountabilities), and operational backing for leadership teams that need extra capacity for a period of time.
How it works
Our engagements are typically long-running and run on contract. A typical collaboration starts with an exploratory period in which we agree on scope, rhythm and deliverables, and evolves into an ongoing role with Corani present on a regular basis in the relevant steering or leadership forums of the client.
Invoicing is handled by Corani bvba, on the basis of an agreed daily or monthly rate, with clear conditions around termination and renewal. Travel and out-of-pocket expenses are billed separately.
Our current engagement: Sparkle
Corani's main ongoing engagement is with Sparkle, a Belgian data and AI consultancy that helps organisations turn data into insights and decisions. Sparkle is Microsoft-first, focused on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Power BI, with strong attention to data architecture, governance and concrete AI use cases.
From within Corani, Kristof Van de Loock serves as Managing Partner at Sparkle: from strategic direction and partner relationships to product and delivery leadership. The engagement fits the profile described above — a long-running, steady presence in the leadership team.
